Farm & Seasonal Work in Tasman
South Island
Tasman packs a lot of harvest into a small corner of the South Island. Motueka and Riwaka are apple towns — picking from February to April — and March adds the hop harvest, short and intense, in one of the few places on earth that grows hops at scale.
Berries and kiwifruit round out summer and autumn, and the Abel Tasman tourist season keeps hospitality busy from December to February. It's one of the most liveable seasons going: beaches, a big traveller community, and work you can bike to.
